Routine maintenance is an important part of caring for your septic system. The county recommends pumping your septic tank out every three to five years. Pumping frequency can depend on how many people are in your household and how old your system is.

Remember, routine pumping is much cheaper than installing a new septic system. Being proactive with your septic system is one of the best things that you can do to prevent costly damage in the future.
